Challenges

  • Construct a new high school to support rapid enrollment growth
Create a 21st century high school with facilities for academics, athletics, and the performing arts

Design Highlights

Planning and design efforts helped create a new 132,000-square-foot high school located on a 36-acre campus. The new facility increased enrollment capacity to 800 students. In 2002, a second phase of construction added an 8,500-square-foot addition, bringing total enrollment up to 1,000 students. Students at Cardinal Gibbons High school now enjoy modern classrooms, a full athletics campus, and a 450-seat theater that is shared with the Diocesan community.
