Design HighlightsA zoned building plan separates academic and shared-use areas, allowing community members to use school facilities after-hours while also maintaining security. In this setting, the media center becomes a local research center, the main theater and black box theater serve as a county-wide performing arts complex, and athletic facilities provide recreational opportunities for all residents. The school is set into a hill, taking advantage of the sloping site. Expansive glass walls provide stunning views of the surrounding woodlands. An outdoor arts patio allows students to draw inspiration from nature. Skylights at the two "monumental stairs" introduce natural light into the heart of the building.
