Design Highlights
A creative phasing plan "unlocked" the cramped and aging building by first relocating the performing arts program to a recent addition on the academy grounds and then renovating the former second-floor auditorium to serve as an elegant new library. The restoration showcases the library's dramatic barrel-vaulted ceiling, original windows, and ornamental wood arches. A first-floor library was converted to educational space. The building now features cutting-edge instructional technology and expansive classrooms, as well as reclaimed attic space that serves as a light-filled art loft.
