Fanning Howey is holding a year-long celebration of its 20th year serving Michigan communities. The firm provides planning and design services for schools, college and university buildings, public libraries, recreation centers, and religious facilities throughout the state.
Since its first project – the award-winning Williamston High School – Fanning Howey has been responsible for the planning and design of 20 million square feet of new and renovated space within the state, resulting in $1.7 billion worth of construction. The firm has partnered with 140 clients ranging from Gaylord to Spring Lake to downtown Detroit. As one of the leading architectural and engineering practices in the state, Fanning Howey has employed more than 170 Michigan residents since 1990. The firm's leaders have been committed to furthering educational and social issues within Michigan and serve on professional associations including the Detroit chapter of the American Institute of Architects, the Michigan Library Association, and the Birmingham/Bloomfield Art Association. Fanning Howey is currently participating on some of the state's most ambitious building programs, including serving as part of the Program Management team for Detroit Public Schools' $500.5 million school construction program and the $65 million replacement of Belleville High School in Van Buren, Michigan. Other current and recent projects include the newly renovated and expanded Bloomfield Township Public Library in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan; the Spring Lake Community Fitness and Aquatic Center in Spring Lake, Michigan; and the award-winning renovation of the Grosse Pointe Academy in Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan. |
