Hall Presents at 21st Century Schools Symposium (8/3/2009)
Michael E. Hall, Fanning Howey’s Director of K-12 and Chief Marketing Officer, presented at the 21st Century Schools Symposium held in Columbia, South Carolina, on July 28, 2009. The symposium, which was aimed at establishing a blueprint for tomorrow’s schools, attracted some of the best minds in education, architecture, sustainable design, technology, health care, and government. Discussions centered on the development of a framework for 21st century school campuses that focus on students’ total needs, prepare America’s youth to compete in the global economy, and dually serve as community centers. Hall’s presentation focused on student-centered sustainable design and trends in learning. Other participants included Richard Riley, former U.S. Secretary of Education and former Governor of South Carolina, and Cheryl Garnett, U.S. Department of Education, among others.
