  • Create seamless addition to Communication Art Center
  • Provide variety of spaces - from high-tech to high art

Design Highlights

The new Modelle Metcalf Visual Arts Center is designed to inspire students and faculty in their quest to explore the visual arts. The 34,257-square-foot building is a mix of specialized art studios and technology-based media labs that support Taylor University’s growing Fine Arts program.

The first floor includes labs for photography, computer graphics, and visual media. The second floor features large, well-lit art studios and a variety of break-out spaces that encourage creativity and collaboration. At the center is the Tyndale Galleria, a two-story public art gallery that connects to an adjacent outdoor sculpture garden and provides flexible opportunities for display of the visual arts.
