Service Delivery Planning Guide
Image

Challenges

  • Examine the needs of the growing Traverse Area District Library service community and the ability of the library system's service locations to meet those needs
  • Specifically address whether additional branches are needed and if existing branches are appropriately positioned

Highlights

To address future needs, the Library commissioned a planning study to examine the need for additional branch libraries. The process included a benchmarking analysis, space needs recommendations, and extensive community engagement. The final report recommends the redistribution of library services in response to future population growth and lays the groundwork for a future System-Wide Master Plan.
