Fanning Howey's experience in church design includes many different types of facilities—urban and rural, new and historic, traditional and contemporary. We have designed spacious sanctuaries and auditoriums with state-of-the-art technology, as well as intimate chapels and worship settings that offer beauty in their simplicity and organic use of building materials.

We recognize that churches must function in many different ways, and we design places for worship, fellowship, education, special events and performances, administration, and community outreach. We have designed many buildings and campuses that include such spaces as sanctuaries, fellowship halls, commercial kitchens and dining areas, offices, classrooms, music rooms, stage and performance areas, libraries and resource centers, conference facilities, nurseries, playgrounds, and memorial gardens and grounds.

We also bring an experienced perspective to the many issues that churches face today, including community use, environmentally-friendly operations, the need to appeal to all ages, long-term building life cycle value, and safety and security.
